Beschreibung
Meitingen - Biberbach - Gablingen - Lützelburg - Adelsried - Horgau - Willishausen - Gessertshausen - Oberschönenfeld
The archaeological cycle path begins near the Meitingen railway station. From here it heads west to the edge of the Augsburg-Westliche Wälder Nature Park. As far as Eisenbrechtshofen, the path runs parallel to the 7-Schwaben Tour and you then continue to Gablingen in the valley of the Schmutter. Then you go up to Lützelburg and to Adelsried through the forest. From Adelsried, the route follows the cycle path of the former Welden railway for a short distance and continues through the open landscape of the Stauden and the western forests back into the Schmutter valley. The Archaeological Cycle Path ends at the railway station in Gessertshausen. From here it is worth making a detour to Oberschönenfeld.
The cycle path runs on municipal roads and paved field and forest paths.
