Insight into the lives of people from the Mesolithic period to the early Middle Ages.
Beschreibung
Exhibitions, exhibits and models in the archaeological museum of local history in Gablingen provide an insight into the life of people from the Mesolithic, Bronze and Iron Ages through the Roman period to the early Middle Ages. The golden and silver grave goods of a "princess" of the Bell Beaker Culture are unique. Spectacular exhibits are the fragment of a Bronze Age sword, gold coins of the Celts and the relics of the armament of a Germanic warrior. Remains of a barrel well with external casing discovered in Gablingen provide evidence of Roman water supply in the 1st century. Replicas of historical castles and settlements are also on display.
