The museum of the market town of Dinkelscherben was founded in 1978 by the local heritage society. The holdings of the local history museum in Dinkelscherben include local history and cultural history exhibits from the area of the Reischenau, a wide basin landscape to the west of Augsburg with the town of Dinkelscherben.
The Zehentstadel now houses 3 departments. There are exhibits from the prehistory and early history of the Reischenau, an exhibition on everyday rural life in the 18th and 19th centuries, as well as the Scherer Gallery.
