Sights and attractions:
Königsbrunn (Battle of Lechfeld information pavilion) - Klosterlechfeld (pilgrimage church) - cycling and swimming in the Lech floodplains - the Roman city of Augsburg (Roman Museum)
In Augsburg, founded by the Romans over 2000 years ago, a loop (also signposted with the title symbol) of around 14 kilometres leads via the Roman Museum and the fountain figure of the
city founder Emperor Augustus to excavations on the Pfannenstiel (a well-preserved part of the Roman city lies underground here). The northernmost point of the route is a Roman burial monument in the Oberhausen district. Heading south, you will also find a connection via the Lech-Höhenweg to Landsberg and the Alpine foothills. And if you wish, you can also continue on the fully signposted and marked long-distance cycle route "Via Claudia Augusta" - all the way to Italy.
