Im Jahr 2014 hat das Ministerium der Justiz und für Europa BW gemeinsam mit TourCert innerhalb eines Pilotsprojekts die Zertifizierung für Destinationen entwickelt. Entstanden ist die Auszeichnung "Nachhaltiges Reiseziel", welche Destinationen und die touristischen Anbieter im deutschsprachigen Raum als Ganzes betrachtet. Das Label mit "dem grünen N" gilt für "Nachhaltige Reiseziele" in Deutschland. Dabei spielen vor allem Parameter wie die Qualität der Produkte und Dienstleitungen oder der schonende Umgang mit Ressourcen eine sehr goße Rolle.

Green Globe is an international certification with a seal of quality for the travel and tourism industry with three award levels
