Augsburg-Westliche Wälder Nature Park

The Augsburg - Westliche Wälder Nature Park is the only nature park in central Swabia: it extends west, north and south of Augsburg over an area of around 1200 square kilometres. The nature park is bordered by the rivers Wertach and Schmutter in the east, the Mindel in the west and the Danube valley in the north. In the densely wooded nature park, which is only sparsely populated and characterised by agriculture and forestry, you will find around 1500 kilometres of marked cycle paths and about 1000 kilometres of hiking trails.
