The biotope trail crosses the Weisinger Forstbach stream with the wetland biotopes created in 2011 after about 400 metres. On this first section you ll follow the 2021 signposted biotope circular trail for another three hundred metres, which then turns off again towards the east.
The circular trail crosses the entire range of forest types typical of the Weisinger Forst: species- and structure-rich deciduous and mixed forests alternate with pure - gradually dissolving - spruce stands.
500m further south, the biotope trail crosses the Südlicher Hennhofer Weg. Afterwards, the path leads cross-country for part of the way and opens up the Hartspitz Valley on the Baiershofer Flur.
There, the hiker encounters another gem in our Central Swabian landscape. Narrowly winding meadow and stream valleys, surrounded by varied forest edges and field copses, offer numerous places of seclusion and tranquillity.
