High performance for the industry
Beschreibung
The historic building sits on the Lech Canal like a small castle. The water-powered turbines generate around 62 million kilowatt hours of electricity a year. In history, the hydroelectric power plant in Gersthofen is of particular importance, as its operation from 1901 onwards led to increased industry in the northern Lech valley and gradually made it possible to supply Bavarian Swabia with electricity.Â
