In Ganghofer's Footsteps in the Swabian Holzwinkel

Ludwig Ganghofer, grew up in and around Welden. Many memories of his youth were later revived in his novels. A cycle path leads along the route of a disused railway line into the wooded, scenic "Swabian Holzwinkel", where not only Celtic square enclosures and Baroque churches and pilgrimage churches worth seeing (Welden, Violau, Horgau, etc.) can be visited, but also numerous churches in the region.
