The farm buildings of the Oberschönenfeld monastery are home to a museum complex of the Swabian district: the visitor center in the former sheepfold provides information about the Oberschönenfeld monastery, the region and the history of Bavarian Swabia. The folklore museum offers a permanent exhibition on two barrier-free levels about everyday life in Swabia between 1800 and the present day: vividly staged original objects present rural life, the world of work and the monastic world between tradition and upheaval. The exhibition is enriched by exemplary biographies of people as well as the history of companies and objects. The Swabian Gallery in the Bräumeisterstadel shows changing exhibitions of works by contemporary artists from Bavarian Swabia.
